Trust.
Depth.
Connection.
I believe that our capacity to relate with others is shaped by how connected we feel within ourselves.
When inner trust is restored, vulnerability becomes possible.
When boundaries are honoured, connection deepens.
I invite you to learn more about The Art of Relating and my way of working.
With Love,
Julia
Julia Fonseca
Julia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (PUC-Goiás - Brazil), completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychotherapy Studies at Auckland University of Technology (New Zealand), and and is currently part of the Master’s programme in Psychotherapy at the same institution.
Grounded in her academic training and ongoing professional development, her work emerges from a journey of self-inquiry and relational awareness. As new ways of relating - to oneself, to others, and to life - unfolded, they became the foundation of how she now supports others.
She offers a non-judgmental and compassionate space that supports the development of inner trust, clarity around boundaries and needs, and a greater sense of relational safety.

The
Relational
Model
At times in life, we feel stuck in repetitive dynamics; we might feel disconnected from ourselves, our work, or others. You might notice recurring patterns that feel difficult to shift, or a longing for deeper connection and authenticity.
Often, what is missing is not effort or insight, but a felt sense of safety and trust within.
The Art of Relating approach integrates Western psychological frameworks with embodied and reflective practices, attending to emotional patterns as they emerge in the body, in relationships, and within lived experience.

Working With Me
I support adolescents and adults to cultivate trust within, so new ways of relating can unfold.
My work is relational and depth-oriented, informed by psychodynamic and somatic perspectives.
Together, we attend to emotional patterns as they show up in relationships, in the body, and in the therapeutic space itself.
The focus is not on fixing or forcing change, but on developing awareness, inner trust, and the capacity to relate with greater compassion and freedom.
What Becomes
Possible
Each process is unique, and change unfolds in its own time.
Through this work, people often experience:
-
A more trusting and compassionate relationship with themselves
-
Greater clarity around needs, boundaries, and desires
-
Increased capacity for vulnerability with an inner sense of safety
-
Deeper, more meaningful connections with others
-
A renewed sense of agency, direction, and trust in life

Individual Sessions
60min session offers a safe and confidential space to explore emotions, patterns of relating, and inner experiences as they unfold — with curiosity and compassion.
Teens
I enjoy working with teenagers, offering support as they navigate the emotional, relational, and developmental challenges characteristic of adolescence. I seek to create a safe space where they can explore their feelings, make sense of their experiences, and strengthen their internal resources with greater confidence.
Group Workshops
I offer group workshops as shared spaces for reflection, connection, and the cultivation of more conscious ways of relating.

Resources
These books offer language, perspective, and gentle challenge around how we learn to love, trust, and relate -both to ourselves and to others.
I share them here as invitations for reflection rather than answers, trusting that each reader will meet what is meaningful for them in their own time.

Meditations
I share guided meditations by Krish & Amana that have supported my own process of grounding, inner connection, and healing. These practices are offered as gentle supports and are available on Spotify.

“Working with Julia has allowed me to accept and honour myself. To be more comfortable with triggers and stressors of daily life, to be aware and notice, rather than forcing change.
Her approach has allowed me to move from constant thinking into my body where real change can begin to take place."
Camila, BR
"I met Julia at a pivotal point in my life, and working with her became a true turning point. Her support helped navigate the challenges of being a woman and an immigrant with greater clarity and kindness, while also learning to establish healthy boundaries.
Julia creates a space free of judgement, where I feel safe and supported. More than just a therapist, she is someone I truly trust."

“I didn't think a therapy session could feel this different until I met Julia. She has a remarkable presence that instantly creates a sense of ease and trust. Each session left me feeling seen, supported and more in touch with myself. Working with her has been transformative and felt deeply grounding. I can't recommend her highly enough. ”
